The visitor center for NASA's Johnson Space Center: walk inside the 747 carrying a real space shuttle replica, see a Saturn V rocket lying in a hangar, and take the tram into the NASA campus to see the real Mission Control and astronaut training facility. The 7-year-old's space dream starts here; the 2-year-old loves the tram itself and the climb-on kids' space play area.

💡 Tips
Admission is about $30 for adults and $25 for kids (check the website; buying online saves a few dollars). The tram tour has the longest line, so go there first. Plan on at least 4–5 hours; strollers can go on the tram. Challenger Seven Memorial Park, 10 minutes away, is good for burning off energy.
