A big water park next to Katy Mills: the Gully Washer toddler area has little slides and tipping buckets just for under-3s, the lazy river and wave pool let the whole family float together, and 7-year-olds who are tall enough can line up for the raft slides. The right answer to a Houston summer: it's hot anyway, so get in the water.

💡 Tips
Tickets are about $45–60, and buying online ahead or getting a season pass is a better deal (check the website). Usually open late May to early September; on weekends, go in at the 10am opening. Bring swim diapers, sunscreen and your own water, and rent a locker.
