A 130-acre botanic garden that only opened in 2020 and was thoughtfully designed for kids: the Family Discovery Garden has a wadeable stream with water pumps, a sandbox and tree stumps to climb, and farther in are tropical gardens, a vegetable garden and shady paths along Sims Bayou. A morning flies by.
