Harris County's free botanic garden between Spring and Humble and the prettiest stroller walk in north Houston: paved paths wind through ginger lilies, ferns and big old trees, the Children's Garden has a playhouse and interactive pieces, the ponds have koi and turtles, and the arboretum across the road has wilder forest trails.

💡 Tips
Free year-round; opens at 8am on weekends. Blooms peak in March and April, which is also when the annual March Mart plant sale happens. In summer the shade holds up until about 11am.
