Things to do with kids in Sugar Land
Sugar Land is the easiest place in southwest Houston to have kids: two small museums, three big parks and a large library within 10 minutes, dinner and fountains at Town Square, and the Museum District and zoo 25 minutes away.
On a clear morning, look for alligators from the boardwalk and tower at Cullinan Park, feed the ducks at Oyster Creek Park, or hit the big playground along the Brazos at Memorial Park; Buffalo Run Park in Missouri City has a lake loop. When it's hot or raining, switch to the Fort Bend Children's Discovery Center, the dinosaurs at HMNS Sugar Land or the Sugar Land Branch library. In spring, drive 30 minutes west to pick strawberries at Blessington Farms, and in December see the tree at Town Square after dark.
